Get the recipe below and give it a try next weekend.

Ingredients:

  • 4-8 oz grass fed Angus beef
  • 8 oz Baby Bella mushrooms sliced
  • 1 large yellow onion cut in half then sliced
  • 1 tbsp grass fed butter
  • 1tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt

Direction:

In a frying pan melt the grass fed butter and coconut oil together then add the onions. Let the onions cook slowly, over medium heat, until they start to turn a little brown. Then add your spices; the garlic powder, black pepper, turmeric powder, curry powder and Himalayan salt. Along with the spices add the mushrooms and stir it all together. Cook over medium heat until the mushrooms are a little brown and the onions are nice and soft. Total cook time should be about 20 minutes. Serves 3-4.

About 20 minutes before grilling, remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let sit, covered, at room temperature.

Heat your grill to high. Season the steaks on both sides liberally with Himalayan salt, black pepper and garlic powder. Place the steaks on the grill and cook until golden brown and slightly charred, roughly 4-5 minutes. Turn the steaks over and continue to grill for and additional 3-5 minutes for medium-rare, 5-7 minutes for medium or 8-10 minutes for medium-well.

Once the steak is cooked to your liking, place each steak on a plate with desired amount of sautéed onions and mushrooms then serve and enjoy.
